Asia City is a beloved jewel of southwest Houston, a destination for some of the city’s best and most affordable food, and a symbol of its diversity. Unfortunately, the pandemic has caused xenophobia and unfounded fear, making Asia City a target of anti-Asian sentiment. The business suffered losses. Some are permanently closed.

Today, the region has become stronger because of it, and despite the challenges it faces, it continues to develop. The future may be uncertain, but one thing remains the same: in Asia City, food abounds. There is a taste here.
